:: OUR TV PROGRAMME (PILOT) ::
Tales by Auntie Toks and much more!
started with the recognition that there was a need to foster
good genuine relationships between various communities by
encouraging, creating and exchanging cultural identities.
We believe that by identifying our cultural diversity and
providing a firm foundation from which will spring forth social,
moral and spiritual values with a bid to instill respect,
confidence and self- purpose in children is paramount in the
society we live in today. One of the ways of creating a general
awareness is by narrating quality traditional stories, arts
and craft passed down from generation to generation. Almost
all these stories of old had morals buried deep in them. We
feel that by doing so we would instill the slowly eroding
morals amongst multicultural children between the ages of
5-13. We believe we can make a positive impact and provide
consultancy service and an extensive outreach to, not only
children, but parents, carers, guardians and educational establishments.
:: ASPIRATION STATEMENT ::
To create an awareness of culture and understanding
of personal identity amongst children between the ages of
5-13, parents, guardians, carers and their educators through
developing new ways of creative imaginative and informal historical,
geographical education in order to increase their skills and
confidence as they emerge to be good citizens of their communities.
:: MISSION STATEMENT ::
To provide consultancy
service and an extensive outreach to educators, childcare
providers and parents by offering workshops, fun days, distributing
free books and providing art educational materials that would
help develop children’s learning and interacting skills
on a face to face basis, in writing and via the computer with
the aim of fostering a good understanding of the various cultures
of the world. We aim to bring this most especially to the
doorstep of every child via amongst others, the medium of
television.
